Vacature: Technical support engineer

Job

You have a very diverse and important job ad Edrive, you will provide third line support on Edrive products and you will help improving our products. Support consists of incident analysis and providing timely solutions to problems. You will work together with different stakeholders such as dealers, customers and internal colleagues who you will advise and support the best you can. You will be part of a small but dedicated and experienced team and you will report to the Edrive Manager

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver 3rd line technical support
  • Register, give feedback and follow up on (technical) incidents and technical support issues related to Edrive products
  • Perform deep analyses of (technical) inquiries
  • Answer inquiries of and provide technical information and training to internal staff
  • Support and guide external service partners
  • Set-up knowledge base and keep it up to date
  • Test new firmware and software releases on the basis of test protocols
  • Work with and follow up tickets in the available ticket system (3rd line support)
  • Technical support in the development of documentation
  • Test, think and give feedback on hardware and firmware development

Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical support role
  • Experience in the EV industry, automotive or electrical industry is preferred and are a plus
  • You have knowledge of embedded systems; firmware and software
  • Data security principles
  • M2M communication standards and platforms
  • Electronics standards and principles are a plus
  • General computer skills in Office
  • Basic programming experience is a plus
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
